Asian Home Gourmet Cantonese lemon chicken- 50g

Ingredients: Sugar, water, glucose syrup, lactose, brown sugar, pickled lemon (lemon, salt, citric acid): 5%, thickener (modified tapioca starch), acid regulator (malic acid), salt.
Cantonese Lemon Chicken Serves 3
- 1 packet Lemon Chicken Sauce
- 2 tbsp water
- 450 g (1 lb) diced boneless chicken
- 1 egg (beaten)
- ½ cup (125 g) cornflour
- Cooking oil for frying
- 3 thinly sliced lemon or lime or spring onions as garnish (optional)
- Coat chicken pieces with egg. Put meat and cornflour in plastic bag. Shake bag to coat meat evenly.
- Pan-fry or deep-fry until meat is cooked, set aside.
- Mix Sauce with water. Pour over cooked meat and mix well. Garnish.
Cooking tips:
(a) Seafood (prawns or squids/calamari) or fish may be used instead of chicken.
(b) Suitable as a dip for chicken nuggets, crumbed fish fillets, seafood or spring rolls and also as a dressing for salad. To make a dip or dressing, mix 1 tbsp water with a packet of Lemon Sauce.
