I used to struggle with getting the KFC-like crunch on my fried chicken at home.
I experimented with everything at home to get that crunch.
One day I was making fried chicken and I had a stale packet of lays lying around. I added the packet to my bread crumbs mix without even thinking about it.
When I fried my chicken it came out as crispy as the ones at KFC.
I was over the moon as I had finally cracked the code for crispy coated chicken every time.
You can use Lays of any flavour you like as it will also enhance the taste of your chicken. I also use lays coating for my zinger burger fillets and that also turns out restaurant style.
Lays as Dessert
Recently, on my feed I was constantly seeing this trend of coating Pringles with melted milk chocolate.
I was eager to know how it would taste. We had some chocolate ganache left from a party and some Lays Salted laying around.
That reel immediately popped up in my head and I thought why not use Lays instead of Pringles!
When we tried that combo it was heavenly. The chocolate perfectly complements the saltiness of the Lays.
Well I'm not sure how it would taste with other flavours like Sour cream or Paprika. If you try it with other varieties do let me know how it turned out.
