Ginger Orange Green Smoothie

The health nerd in me wakes up every few days and starts juicing. In that quest, I also cut my sugar and gluten intake. 


These few days of being a health nerd have such a good impact on my health that I think to myself, I did well, let’s eat that molten lava cake for a change. 


And that’s the end of the story. 


Unfortunately and fortunately, I have this love and hate relationship with myself. Consistency has always been my problem. Whether it’s medicine, diet, routine, or exercise. 


One thing remains constant though, juicing. I love the simplicity of it. Put everything in the blender, whirl, and gulp.

Recipe of Green Smoothie that Will Change Your Life

Here are all the things you will need to make this smoothie: 

Ingredients:  

  • One banana 
  • One small orange 
  • ¼ teaspoon grated ginger 
  • ½ cup Greek yoghurt 
  • ½ cup Spinach 
  • ¼ cup water 
  • Few ice cubes 

Directions: 

  • I blend all the greens with banana, orange, and water. 
  • Then I add yoghurt and whirl again. 
  • Pour it into the glass or tumbler, add some ice, and it's ready to go. 

Pro Tip: 

I always add a spoonful of seeds to the smoothie. Some days I add pumpkin seed powder, chia seed powder, and some days I add watermelon or flax seed powder. 


Parting Thoughts

For the first few days, these smoothies bring instant energy. I usually take this smoothie at the start of the day, and in three hours, I find I get so much work done.


Give it a week, and you will notice your skin and hair have a healthy shine. If you are not like me, you will keep it constant in your routine.  


You can always add more fruits, or substitute spinach with other seasonal greens. Be adventurous and incorporate in tiny amounts to see how it works for you.
